This is my wall for survey. Every student is required to have a space on a wall, usually 4 feet by 8 feet, to display at least 3 pieces from every class. I chose to use a flannel background because, well, flannel is me. I was intimidated when I first arrived at Pratt and I didn't truly get into my work until the end of the semester. I think I was to worried about how the professors would react that I didn't put myself into my work. I'm so ready for next semester. I'm going to be 100% me.

Passion
For this assignment I had to illustrate the word, Passion. I started out with a picture I had taken of a couple dancing. Since I had the flash off, the photo came out blurry but still looked really cool. It is really difficult to paint that effect and I didn't want my painting to look like a big muddy blob. So my solution was to turn the painting up side down and paint a dramatic dance pose. My professor said that some of the best paintings he has done were from painting himself a problem, and then painting over it. I think it could be a Broadway poster.

What age do we live in?
For my methods and media class we had a week long assignment. We had to illustrate what "age" we live in. If people from the future would look back on our time... what would they see? I decided to show a baby with an Ipod because technology is everywhere and it seems that every day children who use technical things are getting younger and younger. And the fact that i-anything is everywhere adds to the comical side of things.
